Dr. Kaminski’s keynote address, entitled, “Risk Management – A Practical Approach,” will explore the pragmatic steps that companies of every size can take to ensure success of their core business in the midst of increasing globalization of commodity markets, ever-changing regulatory hurdles, and record price volatility.

Dr. Kaminski has more than 14 years of experience in quantitative analysis and risk management in the energy industry.  He has worked with many of the world’s most renowned energy companies, including Citigroup, Sempra Energy Trading, Reliant Energy, Citadel Investment Group and Enron (from 1992 to 2002).  Dr. Kaminski is a professor at Rice University’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, where he teaches energy finance and energy derivatives. He has published a number of papers and books, and speaks regularly on the energy market industry.
