This commodity path teaches you how to manage inventory and transportation logistics requirements involving commodities transported in bulk (i.e. coal, cotton, grains, metals, etc..) Scheduling of all transportation modes are covered, including rail, trucks, vessels and barges. You will learn how to integrate product storage, physical processing and transport data into all related processes, from trading and settlement to financial reporting.

BC201 Contract

This course is designed to be the first course a bulk commodity professional should take. Participants will first learn how to navigate the Allegro UI as well as how to use the Contracts component to capture and manage all bulk commodity contract-related information throughout the entire contract management lifecycle. Participants will learn how to:
- Navigate the Allegro Application
- Create counterparties
- Create contracts
- Perform contract approvals
- Manage contract changes and amendments
- Configure key contract parameters

This course explains the setup and use of index pricing including composite indexes. After completing this course, the participant will be able to:
- Capture current, forward, posting indices
- Define price levels (avg, high, low, prompt, deliv, settle and posted)

BC203 Trade Execution

This course will give participants the knowledge and skills they need to manage all their bulk commodity deals using the Trades Execution component. After completing this course, participants will be able to:
- Define the bulk commodity specific attributes of the Trade Execution view
- Capture a bulk commodities trades
- Capture deals with event based pricing
- Define and capture product qualities
- Calculate premium and penalty adjustments
- Perform trade approvals and generate trade confirmation

In the Vessels class, participants will be provided an overview of scheduling, shipment and actualization for bulk commodities transported on a vessel. After completing this course, participants will be able to:

- Add fees to shipments
- Capture vessel actuals

The Allegro Truck allows users to manage and path scheduling and transportation for bulk commodities shipped by truck. Upon completion, participants will be able to:

BC401 Settlement

This course provides an overview of how to accurately settle and invoice bulk commodity transactions. Participants learn how to:
- Setup Settlement parameters
- Validate and confirm settlement records
- Generate and analyze accruals and create tax rates
- Manage and monitor receipt and payment of vendor invoices
- Receive customer invoices and to path outstanding balance
